About ICT Unit

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Department of Electronic Development Institute was one of the pioneer department of the institute. It was established to drive the delivery of innovative technology solutions and support services towards ensuring that all departments within the institute are able to leverage modern ICT resources to optimize their respective functions. It also serves as a co-ordination resource for the center at large, ensuring development of uniform standards and skills acquisition. Function Includes: give policy direction on the development and deployment of ICT issues, develop strategic plans, guidelines and strategies for implementation of ICT projects, set minimum standards on ICT matters in the center and monitor compliance, establish and maintain the converged database, coordinate the development and deployment of ICT related projects, develop training guides and information manuals for use by all levels of staff and stakeholders, carry out and coordinate ICT training for all categories of staff, Provide, secure and maintain all ICT hardware and software, support and maintain all ICT infrastructures, create visibility for the sector through development and maintenance of websites and portals.
