PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT
TRANSFORMER WINDING
Training Descriptions
Winding - Transformers have two windings, being the primary winding and the secondary winding. The primary winding is the coil that draws power from the source. The secondary winding is the coil that delivers the energy at the transformed or changed voltage to the load.
The windings help reduce the voltage between adjacent layers as they are divided into a number of coils. The coils are separated axially by a distance of 0.5-1mm. The voltages between adjacent coils must not be more than 800 to 1000V. The inside end of the coil is connected with the output end of the adjacent one. This training will help you learn about the working principles of direct current machines, armature winding, terminals of induction motors in addition to the rewinding of transformers.
